Inca Trail Availability spaces 2012 (Cusco-Peru)

Before making a reservation, you must be informed on the availability of spots for the inca trail. Lately the goverment had published this web site to ensure the traveller.

- Info inca trail enables you to see the availability for this route in real time. you must take always into account the next:

- The inca Trail is open eleven months every year. February is the month in which it's closed, for maintaining work to ensure in this way the recovery of the fauna and flora.

- The spaces availabilitys is published by the goverment and so it can be seen and checked by local and foreign operators and also by the clients.

- If you see many available spaces ,it does not mean at all that you have plenty of time to get one. It isn't unusual that in just five minutes 100 available spaces can be occupied, specially during the high season (may, June, July, Agust,).

- The availability is regulated by the goverment through the cultural national institution. the re is not any other official entity.

- If you find that for a determined day, there is 150 available spaces, take into account that just there are 40 spaces for the turist, the remaining 110 spaces are for the guides and the supporting staff.

- According to the regulation that is force, the access to the inca Trail is limited up to 500 persons daily, including the ssuporting personnel (150 tourist, plus 350 porters appoximately).

The 40-mile trail, which links the city of Cusco to the Inca citadel and 12 other archeological sites in the forested mountains, will be reopened March.
